Living Elegantly in a Small Space
Comments (0)Living in a small space does not mean you need to surround yourself with white MDF flat pack furniture! Small spaces can be elegant spaces too. Elegance can come in various different tastes depending on your taste. Throughout your small space you could have a theme of elegance or you can focus on having elegant finishing touches and accessories. Whatever your preference here are some ways of incorporating elegance into your small space. Comments (1)Maybe ikea‘s brimnes behind headboard cupboard would work for picture frames and smaller itenms in the open shelves. Have you tried a bedside table with drawers to fit by the door and maybe a round tray table to put in the window for your plants?...See MoreSmall living room, how to maximise space with what we need?
Comments (8)Firstly Congratulations on your first home, well done! got to say I don’t really understand why there are two radiators in that room as big one will be enough I think…small room. put small folding extending dining table and chairs at bottom of stairs by window tucked away. Extra chairs can live in the cupboard and then extend table if you need too in the room. TV and computer desk could become a multi purpose unit…think bookcase with arm for extendable TV and computer in same place? Or knock out under the stairs as complete wasted space now and put your desk etc under there. TV on wall with a multi positional arm saves floor space. Can see TV from wherever you sit/eat then if you can afford it and don't really need a computer then get an ipad. Go on Pintrest for ideas and look at Ikea layouts , they have small spaces and make it work. Sofas are up to taste but keep a tape measure with you always… Lots of luck...See MoreHelp needed creating bedsit in small space.
Comments (4)Hi Belinda, The only internal height restrictions that I'm aware of in the building regulations are related to headroom over staircases. You could probably achieve something acceptable in this instance with more of a ladder type access to a bed platform. Who told you that you couldn't legally have one? And on what basis?
