Help with paint colour for kitchen walls please
Comments (0)I have cream units with dark charcoal work tops and medium oak floor. The tiled splasback is three colours of cream, light and dark grey. I painted the walls in a truffle colour but it's turned out a lilac grey and I hate it. Can anyone help with a colour for the walls please. I don't like bold colours....See MoreHelp, What colour can I paint my kitchen please
Comments (8)Hi, Using colour: I would stay neutral for the walls above the units; a great colour example of this is 'Strong White' by Farrow and Ball and then for the wall on the left of the photo I would have this as a feature all and go for a darker tone such as 'Green Blue' by Farrow and Ball. Using lighting: spotlights are great as they can provide an even spread of light in your kitchen, especially if you are limited in natural light. Due to having a dark coloured back splash, having under cabinet spotlights on a separate electrical circuit would provide additional lighting on the worktop area in the evening and night hours. The installation looks great so far ! Comments (31)I'm so sorry, but I've only just seen your posts and all your hard work with the mock ups!!! I didn't get notified. Thank you so much this is so helpful!!! Seeing the Photoshop mocks ups makes us realise we don't want to go two tone on the edge cabinets and like the lighter grey. Unfortunately the job hood needs to stay as we can't get it out. We would love to have a modern one added, it's just not doable without taking all the units out. We have painted the window wall which looks fab (well we think so!), picture below. We're considering ammonite or cornforth on the outside cabinets (posts included) and downpipe on the island. We're not 100% convinced the downpipe will work? What do you think? Is there any possibility anyone could use their amazing skills to demonstrate these colours please? outside cupboards ammonite and island downpipe outside cupboards and island ammonite and if anyone can really be bothered the same as above but with cornforth instead of ammonite! Thank you for your time!...See MoreHelp! Can’t find the right paint colour for kitchen!
Comments (1)I think you need something calming as you have yellow and teal so you don’t want anything to clash. I wonder if a mid grey like Dulux Chic Shadow would go well? Here’s a couple of pics...See More- 6 years ago
