You can use side panels or a deck/surround to create what is, in effect, a free standing bath that would work well aesthetically and, optionally, as part of a wetroom-style bathroom. Deep soaking tubs are especially effective for such projects; they have smaller footprint, which affords more room in the shower area, but their greater depth makes them exceptionally comfortable.

@carolina LOOOOOOVE the wood effect shelf but sadly the wall behind the bath is an outer wall and cannot be 'carved' to create such a cavity. We will have a recess but it will be smaller. The strip between the tiles is a pencil rail, almost invisible but used to connect the two types. The only reason I don't have the herringbone mosaic all the way to the bottom of the wall is pricing. It is way more expensive than the normal tiles of the same range. So need to be creative but within a certain budget.

Hi, Is there enough room at the base of the bath for the toilet and the space required under building regulations? I think the window is a great feature so I would definitely like to put the bath on this wall. In the quick drawing below I have added the bath there and put boxing to either side which also allows boxing and plumbing to the WC to take it off the window wall and on to the side wall with the basin - this I think looks and feels a little better. I have then added a towel rail beside the bath and shower, which you can add your hanging rail in front of - or you can extend the size of the shower and put the rail up on the wall. Another option I looked at was having the toilet directly in front of you on the outside wall and then having a bath wall with a floor to ceiling storage unit which would be helpful, and the a shower, basin and cupboard / towel rail area.
