I think the answer might be in your garage door, it really stands out, that's what white will do. Are there more options other than anthracite?

I think in polls like this people choose what they like in isolation rather than what will suit the property.
Personally I think dark windows disappear on a red brick house and thereby make the house look featureless

I think that white windows can work, especially if the windows are beautiful. I also think that dark windows can work, but in-between white and black there are lots of values and in terms of colour there are lots and lots of options. Look at lots in images of similar houses to see what look you prefer.

White windows, colour co-ordinated front door and garage would look nice. There are so many options with window frame colour and anthracite is just one of them. Your house looks 1980s but quite a traditional design. French Grey would look amazing (a slightly greeny grey). Last pic below is a window painted in Farrow & Ball’s French Grey, but it does look quite traditional, so probably not your cup of tea!

Thank you. The only issue I have is the rest of the houses in the cul-de-sac are brown as they have kept the original colour. So was worried by going white it would look odd in the street.

I love the french grey but wouldn’t be a colour we would choose for our house.

I live in a cup-de-sac and worried about the same thing. We changed ours then three of our neighbours also changed theirs. All slightly different which has actually helped as the houses look slightly different but none look odd.
