Wrap around ground floor extension floorplan - ideas and suggestions p
Comments (5)Hi ! I think if you wanted the study to double up as a guest suite, or if you are using it as a treatment room for clients - or a dedicated work space... Something along these lines might work well.... I've made the downstairs shower room bigger and more accessible from lounge as requested. Also made the showers larger, as the small ones can be a bit tight to use. I've also adjusted your kitchen layout a bit - just because the beam was making the previous layout unbalanced - this way you are centralising to the beam ( ie the bit you can't change ) and making the kitchen feel more balanced and getting more light in too. The utility area is accessed by triple sliding doors within the kitchen, that stack back to the left ... I thought it might be nice to add an internal link to the dining from the kitchen space - to save negation of the two doors when serving and clearing up from dinner. I hope you like it ! [marketing note : this is an example of our sketch consult service - normally chargeable at £35per hour -but happily given FOC to this Houzzer in this instance. Comments (11)Thank you all for these wonderful ideas . i think you have hit the nail, it just wasn't feeling right to us. having the bed further inside the room will definitely open up the space, so we will now be figuring out which way best achieves this. on reflection, having the vanity in the bathroom is imptortant to us, so i think making the ensuite bigger should be a priority. i can see in your drawing that the dressing area is open to your left when you walk in. i'm not sure i can visualize this. Are those wardrobes you have drawn in? or should the dressing area be a room to the left as you enter? thanks so much everyone!...See MoreHouse to flat conversion. Ideas on these floorplans
Comments (14)Hi. For the ground floor, I'd move the ensuite door to the bed with bay the other side of the chimney breast and where the door was have wall to wall wardrobes (in the en suite) with good extraction and swap the bath to a shower, For the other bedroom I might move the entrance door as that seems the best place for wardrobes with the bed by the window? Is the chimney breast staying? It will create a long corridor but I might consider a storage cupboard next to the WC. For the top floor, for the narrower room I'd replace the ensuite with wardrobes. Utilities allowing I'd make the former bed 3 into an ensuite. If there's room to move the bedroom door again that top wall looks the most suitable place for wardrobes....See MoreExtension Floor plan advice please
