Maybe an opportunity for a company such as Formica to offer something new?? I am sure there would be lots of interest from architects / interior designers / consumers for something a bit different but with a decent price tag too? Flooring brands like Forbo really showcase how their products can be made modern and contemporary, without having to necessarily mimic another type of finish (although they offer these too I think..?). Wallpaper designs are almost limitless, so why not start designing more creative laminate worktop designs? Printed surfaces are limitless when it comes to creative designs. They don’t have to be complex. Simple, commercially viable to produce, but filling this market gap.... If someone could start designing and producing something for next year I’d appreciate it lol!!!

Hello Karina, I see what you mean. It depends on the feel you want for your bedroom. Do you want a pop of colour ? By the picture in the room it looks like you do not mind this. If yes you can cover them with wallpaper. Get an Acrylic/ perspex mirror. Or attach coloured perspex. Or just completely change the doors to a colour. Using colours from your picture, headboard or ottoman. Pastel colours for calm, brights for a wow or for exotic look golds, metallics, which will go with your other picture. If you have space move the ottoman to the foot of the bed and then make that recess area into a snug seating area with a comfy chair small table to put a drink on and a plant which will change the look and could guide you more. Mmm! The more I look at it could be that area just needs to be covered so that same doors that will give it an more complete cohesive look. Then paint it a gloss, rather than a matt. Laminate painting can be a mare so you could check out your local garage that spray paints cars and they could spray paint the doors evenly. Or buy a spray gun and do it yourself. Then it would like a more of a built in. I think more personal objects will guide you too. If we can see the other blue gold picture it will give us more of an Idea to work on. Blue gold yellow and teal sound exotic, so a feature wall in those exotic colours will take your eye away from the built ins. Or maybe then put the same wall paper with the comfy chair in the recess.... Have fun.
