I have just peeled of the lining paper in new flat and not sure if this is concrete or plaster underneath?Would rather not have to pay for the whole flat to be plastered!Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Looks like plaster (terracotta colour) with some filler or levelling stuff on top (white). Do you plan to re paper or paint? In our first house we didn't want to pay a plasterer so we did a lot of filling and sanding of plaster to get a smooth surface for painting. it worked fine But it is super hard work and very messy!
We have just stripped all the paper off two bedrooms in this new house and will be getting a plasterer to skim. It is money well spent in my opinion if you plan to paint. Good luck.
