Help tile choices

We are having our ensuite bathroom redone. A similar layout to this. It's not very light or spacious so was going for lighter tiles. But I am concerned that it will look too bland. Choice is full or half tile but we are keeping the cabinets. Thought that full tile might bring it together. Have a couple of samples intending to lay landscape with the darker ones in the shower cubicle. New shower, bath, vanity unit, rad towel rail, toilet. The window is not overlooked so may not replace the blind. Floor will be Karndean thought perhaps wood.

Does anyone think I should change for darker tiles or half tile?

You say the room isn’t light, so I’m not sure about the dark grey, it may be even darker then? I’m not keen on fully tiled walls but they can look really good. I would tile where you had to (shower and sink etc) and then use a bathroom paint on the rest. Here’s some examples of rooms I rather like.

Good afternoon your options are quite big to be honest, porcelain is suitable for exterior applications as it is frost resistant and has extremely low water absorption. If you aren't worried about slipping then you can use exactly the same tile outside as inside but if you would prefer something with a bit more grip a lot of our collections have a grip or structured tile for exterior areas without compromising on the aesthetics. Ideally you want only 1 bossy / busy fixed element. At the moment you have lots going on with the mosaics and the wall tiles and a mixture of undertones. On the whole granites and marbles also demand to be the centre of attention which is why I would suggest you select a very plain countertop. You'll probably find a few which are well within the granite/marble price bracket. Decide which is the largest visual undertone and use that for the countertop.

Thanks for your advice. Yes I plan on getting a few samples of ceramic wood effect tile. Have also been looking at VLT. Not sure about the blue. While it does draw on the colour in the hallway I'm just not that into a pale blue. Would prefer a dark blue which might work also. There is a good amount of daylight in the kitchen. I think the colouring in the photo below is quite good for the kitchen units. We plan on having a tall dresser which could be in that dark green with the remaining units in grey. That vinyl herringbone or parquet seems to be a popular current style choice. Not sure if it will clash with the hallway though.

Hiya my bathroom is a similar size and i went with floor to ceiling tiles in a colour similar to the darker striped tile and on the floor i went with a white oak timber plank style floor tile. Above my freestanding bath i have an oak shelf with full size mirror mounted above with throws back light into the room. No issues with light really especially with new LED ceiling lighting and under shelf LED lighting. Unless its more natural light you are after. I do mainly kitchens but if you follow the link there are a few bathroom examples. Kitchens and Bathrooms

Thanks for helpful comments. Don't think it will work just tiling the shower and sink area. Have decided to go for full tile and the pale grey stripe. Think by using a larger tile and just one colour it will pull all the elements together. Light colour floor I think and perhaps another mirror.
