Help tile choices

We are having our ensuite bathroom redone. A similar layout to this. It's not very light or spacious so was going for lighter tiles. But I am concerned that it will look too bland. Choice is full or half tile but we are keeping the cabinets. Thought that full tile might bring it together. Have a couple of samples intending to lay landscape with the darker ones in the shower cubicle. New shower, bath, vanity unit, rad towel rail, toilet. The window is not overlooked so may not replace the blind. Floor will be Karndean thought perhaps wood.

Does anyone think I should change for darker tiles or half tile?

You say the room isn’t light, so I’m not sure about the dark grey, it may be even darker then? I’m not keen on fully tiled walls but they can look really good. I would tile where you had to (shower and sink etc) and then use a bathroom paint on the rest. Here’s some examples of rooms I rather like.

Good afternoon your options are quite big to be honest, porcelain is suitable for exterior applications as it is frost resistant and has extremely low water absorption. If you aren't worried about slipping then you can use exactly the same tile outside as inside but if you would prefer something with a bit more grip a lot of our collections have a grip or structured tile for exterior areas without compromising on the aesthetics. Only one material for this scenario - glass splash back along the entire wall - and up above the cooker - all in either one or two pieces. You can have any colour. I would go for a slight contrasting colour - caramel or, if you are brave, mustard. Make a feature of the splash back. This picture is ours - but we have a huge space to cover - it is actually grey, but does not show. Very easy to keep clean.

Catherine, It really depend on the style of your home and your personal tastes here. Black is my immediate thought as it works really well with the colours you mentioned and makes both white and silver look stunning. Black adds definition and a sleekness. To best effect, this would work well with Contemporary or Art Deco style rooms which is why I mentioned the style of the house. Do you have a picture you could upload? If you demand more of a statement then I would recommend Reds/Pinks or to be on trend and a bit more subtly try the Deep Indigo or Blue. I hope it helps and look forward to seeing the design. This was in 2011, when we just started renovating. Top windows are new (ral7039), walls ral9010. You see the neighbour on the right has bright white, the attached on the left some creamy tan. (Landscaping credits go to previous owner..) Don't have many new photo's, but this was a few months ago, when we had the front door and livingroom window done too (pvc): Lower edge on the wall still needs some paint.. And landscaping hasn't been done yet either, but we did take out the dug in roof tiles.. (plus we're slow renovators LOL no stress)

Hiya my bathroom is a similar size and i went with floor to ceiling tiles in a colour similar to the darker striped tile and on the floor i went with a white oak timber plank style floor tile. Above my freestanding bath i have an oak shelf with full size mirror mounted above with throws back light into the room. No issues with light really especially with new LED ceiling lighting and under shelf LED lighting. Unless its more natural light you are after. Thanks for helpful comments. Don't think it will work just tiling the shower and sink area. Have decided to go for full tile and the pale grey stripe. Think by using a larger tile and just one colour it will pull all the elements together. Light colour floor I think and perhaps another mirror.
