Inside outside tile choice
Comments (2)Good afternoon your options are quite big to be honest, porcelain is suitable for exterior applications as it is frost resistant and has extremely low water absorption. If you aren't worried about slipping then you can use exactly the same tile outside as inside but if you would prefer something with a bit more grip a lot of our collections have a grip or structured tile for exterior areas without compromising on the aesthetics. Comments (17)I would say that sample two is better but only because it is a warmer toned wood. To be honest I don't think that either of them go. The laminate you have chosen is cold and contemporary where as oak is warm in tone and stereo-typically traditional. I have to agree with "Man around the house" maple or walnut would be a better match, although sticking to oak may work best. Either way, I hope you find the right floor for your kitchen!...See MoreTile choice?
Comments (18)Beautiful refurb of kitchen, I too think white metro tile with white grout or Laura Ashley do some in tones similar to your wall colour. I'm not usually a fan of tiles and love soft coloured glass splash backs but your room would look fantastic with metros. Have fun....See MoreNew kitchen choices - what to avoid?
Comments (16)White kitchens are the most classic and timeless and will be longer lasting. What dates them is the profile of the doors and the other hard finishes (tile, worktop, etc). Basically choose the most boring option on everything - white cabinets, white subway tile, nothing too flashy for workop (could be white/offwhite, black, wood). Add in personality and style with all the stuff that you have - and that can be changed easily as colours/trends change. The next most timeless/classic colour after white is a colour that you actually love and use a lot already - look at your clothes, pillows, fabrics that you have and love already and you can't go too wrong. Even if that colour is in or out of trend, if it's a colour that you've always loved then you'll probably like it in your kitchen - obviously got to consider the particulars of your space, with regards to how a colour will look in different light, etc. But if in doubt, a white or off-white will always be a good choice for a timeless look....See MoreVicki Maddocks
