if you dont want to bring attention to it then maybe a white or glass easy fit pendant so it blends into the ceiling (although it looks as it if may hang over a coffee table if the sofa was on the right?). You could then use more statement lighting for a floor and table lamp
Thanks, was thinking about using it to have a lower light over the coffee table but the ceiling is low. i plan for TV on the wall and dont want to obstruct the view. been thinking the solution may be a cirlcle light like in the photo, what do you think?
Why don’t you place your tv first? Ideal height is when your eyes (sat) are level with the centre of the screen so I suspect a slightly lower than normal pendant over the table would be fine
I suggested an easy fit pendant but suspect the landlord may be happy with a new light or reinstate the rose and cable when you move if not?! However if you went for that I would still go with something that doesn’t visually fill the room
