After months of searching, we may have found the ideal property. Unfortunately there's a but....
It's a repossession, has had everything stripped out of it (no boiler, appliances etc), non-compliant septic tank and it was owned by a chain smoker so reeks of smoke with yellow ceilings and nicotine stained walls. Plus all incoming services have been disconnected.
It's a 4 bed 1970s bungalow (not very inspiring) but in a lovely location with acreage and a huge amount of potential.
I have been reading up on what I'd need to do / costings for stuff but am starting to feel a little overwhelmed and unsure as to the right order to do things. Initial thoughts are to organise a deep clean, connect water, install a boiler / heating system, sort the septic tank, get place totally re-wired, connect electricity, get all plaster / artex hacked off and redone - am on the right track here??
Any advice from those more experienced at renovation work will be great appreciated!!
