Update - alabaster painted oak units, oak worktop, (curved end units and worktop corners) belfast sink, 1100 stainless steel rangemaster porcelain large high gloss ivory 600x600 floor tiles, ivory grout - please see attached look book just still to decide on shade of sage on walls - deciding between F&B Mizzle, Vert De Terre, Ball Green and Cooking Apple Green... Also metro sub/way tiles on walls - whether to go for a sage tile or cream/white... The dining room area off the kitchen will have oak parquet floor which will follow through from hall and will also be in the lounge but Im thinking of following the wall colour in the kitchen through to the dining room for continuity and potentially painting the chimney brest or wall furthest away from and facing the kitchen a darker green complementary colour... Thoughts please

Hello there, I was a rep for Benjamin Moore paints and have worked with a lot of paint colours - they have 3500 in the full collection! For a small room you need a colour with warmth in it a hint of yellow to reflect the light but it will predominantly depend on the colour and amount of light coming in to your room. I would be happy to order some large samples of colour sheets that are sprayed in the actual colour so you can check the tone works in your room free of charge. Now thinking if it’s best to place the wall art by the dining table and do a corner photo collage.

I would have poo poo’d this idea before as I’d wonder what the point was, but make your self a mood board using the colours roughly in the same ratios. Are you planning on having some artwork as this may be the lynchpin that helps it hang all together. Pulling colours through from that will help the scheme. Tonal can be soft and soothing but needs layering up with texture to create a cohesive scheme. Alternatively pops of bright colour can look amazing and your kitchen is lovely and bright with good bones. What is the rest of your house like, and what is your style?
