Comments (2)Push your dining table up by the built in seating leaving room for a small sofa and possibly one modern feature chair. At meal times, they can sit at the built in seating as it will make them higher up at the table. Define the 'lounge' area with a rug. Keep the children's area over by the shelving and have a small low desk area included in the shelving system for them to sit at which would remove the need for kids table and chairs....See MoreHow can I improve the living area?
Comments (7)Hi. It's a nice room. I'd centre the dining table on the rug. Move the bird art to over the sideboard and add a table lamp. I'd pull the sofa out a little and add an arc lamp. Personally I'd change the cushions and throw to the burnt orange that's in the rug. You could also add a couple of navy, green and white cushions. I'd get a larger piece of art for over the sofa or perhaps add a shelf and have a few pieces of art layered in different sizes in thin dark frames to balance out with the dark furniture.. I might also swap the flowers on the side table for a lamp....See MoreCan anyone help with ideas on how to make this area attractive?

Flowers from April to June and comes in a variety of purple shades. Erigeron is another one that flowers later from June until autumn. Wonderful plant. Comments (4)You say you need a kitchen, utility area, study and living area, but from the floor plan it seems you already have all that (if the snug can be used as an office), so I don't really see what the question is. As for the bi-folds and patio, I guess you need to figure out where the best place for the patio is, front or back garden, and then put the doors there. Depending what is on the other side of the walls it seems that could be the living room, dining room or the snug....See MoreHU-768402840
