Small bathroom solution needed, please help
Hi there, we very recently moved into a new house and we find ourselves needing a solution with our bathrooms which are both very small. We have one shower cubicle in the en-suite in 2nd bedroom. Our family bathroom is small as i think some space must have been taken out to create the en-suite next door. We really want another shower, not just the shower in the en-suite, and thinking any solution (if there is one) would be a shower over bath. Big however though, you can see from the photo and floorplan there is a window where the wall mounted shower equipment would go so we cannot do that, unless it was on the side wall but then where would the shower screen go? l would massively appreciate, if there are any, any suggested solutions of how we could fit a shower bath instead of what is currently there (we need to have a bath as we are expecting). We did discuss knocking the bathroom and study into one but i dont think our equity would cover this and what needs to be done on creating open plan downstairs. Any help would be great! thanks

Also, we had a slightly similar problem - we used to live in a 5-bed house but as we don't like cooking or entertaining in the kitchen, we only put a lovely, small separate kitchen (the size you'd find in a 2-bed flat). That did put families off. However, we got several offers from people without children. It went for over the asking price within a week. I think it might be a similar for you. Comments (11)Removing the cupboard sounds like a great idea! It will definitely open up the space and provide an opportunity for extra storage. To maximize the storage opt for a double floorstanding vanity unit. Comments (6)Hi Alexandra, this is a nice bathroom and you can do a lot with it. If you do not want to replace your fixtures with some built-in vanity etc, an under-sink cabinet can be a start. there are a few cabinets around, I like this one from Dunelm Adding shelves above the toilet would balance out the wall space. add some greenery or artificial plants, candles, stuck toilet paper, etc. A bigger mirror cabinet could be a good idea also. This IKEA Hemnes mirror cabinet is 98cm high and has a nice open shelf too. It is also quite pretty and can add a cozy look to a modern bathroom. TheseIKEA Hooks with suction cups are useful as you do not need to drill the walls. A few shower baskets with suction cups would look good in the shower. Could you maybe move the ensuite shower into the master
bedroom and steal a little from the study for a vanity, to give you a free standing shower in the main bathroom? you would have a bigger ensuite but might want to steal wardrobe space from bedroom 2.
