Thanks all for input...been away for a while hence the delay in commenting! I just couldn't live with the pink in the end...it seems to dull out in the photos... Any way I've purchased some new baroque style frames in silver/golds and a couple in flat grey (matching the tiles and grout colouring) and will update that wall colour with something darker and more opulent....not sure on what colour yet. On the bright side my mum loves the concept and colouring so stole it for her picture wall and her style is slot more modern anyway so I think it will look really playful and add a bit of needed colour. Additionally my 6 year loved the pinks so the mirror frame wall idea is moving into her room (her room is already a chic shadow grey with white and accents in pink) - it will be more radial based around a larger central mirror and with a bigger space to play with should work a lot better. Alls well that ends well!

You might be pleasantly surprised how different it will look when you change the wall colour. Perhaps if you didn't that first, you'd not need to change the grout. I'd agree; if the tiles aren't symmetrical then a darker grout line would highlight this. I'd also agree that dark grey would look great - you have this in your floor mats and it looks nice against your gorgeous floor tiles. We went grey in our ensuite. Hubby was concerned it would be dark, but we love it. Worst case - if you change your mind, paint is an easy swap. Good luck ;)

If the two colours will be mixed, I’d suggest you use grey or lighter shade of navy blue. If you go too dark definition between the tiles geometry will be lost. Light to mid grey grout for example should work well as it will let the geometry and colour pop.

I think it all depends on the look that you are going for - with these tiles, I too would be tempted to colour match as closely as you could, however it also depends on the style and wider context of the house. I have a Victorian house and old battered boards in our living room - they have gaps between the boards which effectively almost look black. When we did wood effect tiles in our en-suite, I bought similar coloured tiles and then used a dark anthracite grout to get the same effect as the living room. However the tiles you have chosen are a different style - they’re a lovely fresh contemporary wood effect compared to my old battered boards, so a more neutral colour that blends in would look fab!
