Our living room needs an overhaul as we haven't changed it since moving in. I want the ceiling rose removed and the ceiling skimmed. My initial plan was then to replace the current coving with a plain one.
However, the lounge is the only room which currently has coving - the used to be some in the dining room before we made it into a kitchen/diner, but it wasn't going to look right around our kitchen units.
The house is early 1970s and our ceilings are reasonably low - only 2.3m.
Although I personally think a plain coving will make the room look more finished, will it look strange if it's only in one room? Or do you think it will look better without?
