small uneven tile piece

Is there a way to fix this. Thinking of asking for them to take up a row of tiles and put a larger piece there… please advise

It hasn’t been grouted yet which is why I thought taking up a row and cutting the replacement ones in order to have larger pieces next to the door would be a better look

That is very unfortunate. The window has been installed at an angle and the tile has hightlighted this. Your instincts are correct providing it is possible. It involves rework, no question. That would drive me crazy if left as it is. The question is, is the tile size big enough to cut the edge and end up against the window or is the gap too large for the tile size? Measure the gap from the grout line of the previous tile to the window frame. Are your tiles larger than this?

Hi everyone. I just wanted to show you my new steps. They were finally finished on Saturday last week. A large wooden frame was made over the steps and filled with concrete so not access or egress for a whole week. They were then plastered with a very fine concrete to give them a smooth appearance. I love the new steps. The hand rail is a total feature and I cannot wait till my seeds have germinated and the whole area will be covered in geraniums and begonias. What do you think? You should install the WC pan first, and then cut the tiles around it. Depending on how thick the tiles are, you might need to install a packing sheet of moisture resistant MDF or similar so that the WC lid stays up - just make sure the sheet is small enough to be hidden behind the pan. Good luck!

We're really far from there too (south coast) but fortunately my partner works up north so he popped in on his way to Newcastle. To be honest, he only popped in to get an idea if quality in comparison to places like wren, howdens etc. The quality was definitely better (we went for the stanbury). We had builders in at the time so I just got them to measure then deducted 50mm from each side to account for uneven walls. Definitely research your fitter. We used our carpenter and to be honest he made the kitchen look really expensive. Would definitely recommend getting your worktops through them. They outsource to a stone Mason who comes and measures after the kitchen has been installed so you don't have to do this part. From measuring to fitting, worktops took 2 weeks. We saved about £1500 on silestone quartz by going through them. We haven't quite finished by here's some photos to give you an idea of quality x

Very tidy garden, but it just needs that “something” doesn’t it? How about creating an Islamic style garden? All about water and tranquility with lots of straight lines. You could add a bowl shaped water feature or a fountain in the middle, with a path leading up to the fountain, and then leading to the borders behind it. Water fountains are very popular now and they usually come complete with a fountain and a long lead, usually 32 feet, with a plug at the end. I have an urn shaped one and it was so easy to set up. I would also add more shrubs and flowers in the borders, although I realise not everything is out yet. You can use the same paving you already have or go the full Monty with colourful tiling. The original tiler didn't think ahead and plan it out properly, i'd assume that all the tiles are the same size so i doubt its as simple as taking out a row of tiles and fitting bigger tiles [if they exist]. if the tiler had planned ahead you would have roughly even sized cuts at both ends so it looks balanced - i bet you have full sized tiles at the other end of this wall as that was the 'easy' for the tiler.
