Need help designing our dream kitchen please!
Comments (4)Those windows look great Claire ! This kitchen design looks ok - but if you are opening up the windows into a bar then echo that with an also slightly unconventional idea perhaps - using a BORA induction hob - which can be fitted ( unusually - but the manufacturers say this is ok) in place if the sink under the window ... the hob itself has a built in extract system - so no extractor needed - and allows you to keep a flatter surface there and entertain your guests by cooking for them while they perch outside ! By moving the sink to where the hob area was allows you to take the DW out of the corner to the end of the run so it's easier to load and unload without being in the way. If you wanted to explore the options more, we are totally independent designers who have years of experience designing kitchens . We help you get the best design to suit your needs - then you shop around with one plan and get as many quotes as you like ! Haggle - negotiate - do a deal - it's all easier when you have your own plan in your hands !...See MoreNeed help with kitchen (re) design please
Comments (0)Looking for design advice and help with 3D rendering of the design please. Happy to pay for the consultation. This is a new kitchen, done as part of a full refurbishment. Due to some structural issues elsewhere in the house, the initial layout was a compromise. But, now the structural changes situation has changed allowing for hopefully a better kitchen design. Have posted earlier on here and received some great advice. So, we are having one last go at getting the kitchen design right. Hopefully, you all can help me achieve this :-) Below is a picture of the kitchen and the measurements, with the following change : the vertical radiator and the door next to it is now gone. So, its a long wall there.. Also, Hob run has to stay as it is. Hob and oven don't have to be close as we don't use the oven much for cooking. Here is our working (re) design: [Its not set in stone, so, please feel free to comment :-) ] - Move the tall units to left wall (i.e, to 1 in the diagram) -3,4,5 : Long run of base units with worktop , sink in the middle, dishwasher to the left of the sink. and 7,8,9: shallow half height wall units; with glass splash back. The corner bases of 5 and possibly also 3 will be unusable. That is okay. Not sure : 7,9 : fill with the same half height wall units as 8 or use open shelving for 4 and 5 and use half height wall units for 6? Thank you all...See MoreDesign Help Needed Please - Room Ideas
Comments (9)Is the roof glass like shown on the images? If so, before you do your kitchen here, I would try and talk to someone who has done this. I have a client I am currently working with for their layout. They came to use because the previous owners did exactly what you are suggesting and it was unbearable to be in there in the hotter months/days. The owners did the work then sold it because they didn't like it in the end, and the new owners are now paying me to rip it out and put it back in the existing covered part of the house with the dining room in the glass area, with storage and play area. It's definitely worth looking at before you go ahead with something so major and costly. I think as @Jonathan suggested, I would try and open the space up further, even if it means waiting a little longer for it :) ...best to get it right the first time.
