@Jonathan so you think I should leave the tree like in the first image? That's what my husband thinks he also thinks on the left instead of a table we should put a floor lamp there instead

What do you all think of a floor lamp in that corner instead with a wall flower basket above?

This whole thread started because I got fed up of trying to style a table I don't mind giving it another go if I can make it work but I struggled last time.

A mirror is a big no as my partner hates looking at himself plus he's very superstitious and hates me having mirrors in the house so I only have one in the bathroom and my dressing room.

I like this hanging basket he found for above on the left side what do you think? And what about a floor lamp instead? Like I said don't mind going back to my table if I can get help on how to style things not just what to get.

Ok I like the books in the video there the type I've been looking for but I'll swap the bottom one for a Cotswolds one my style is very much the Cotswolds but with a more neutral palate but I like oaks and wicker ect and oatmeal lining fabrics and antique brass gold.

I think I'll up cycle my table to make it more a medium oak and I can easily find a slim gold lamp to put on one side but my only problem is my table is tiny it's only 45cm wide and the books easily take up half the space and I really wanted to put something on top of them. I could still put that wicker flower basket above? It would just be what do I put on top of the books so it doesn't look boring or lost and won't compete with the lamp?

I moved the table back there but this time I put it on the other wall in that corner so I have more space as the wall it was on in my above image is only 45cm same as the table but the wall it's on now is 53.5cm so I have a bit more breathing space. Which side would you put the lamp and books?

I was thinking gold table lamp with oatmeal fabric shade and then books and no idea what I should put on the books and then above I was thinking of getting a coat hanger without a shelf and use that to hang my flower basket?

Really appreciate people's opinions and I'm sorry to keep going over the same thing I really appreciate everyone's help here

What about swapping the table for a console table as if I put it on that wall like I did the table in the above photo I could then fit a proper console table like you said and it would be more rustic Cotswolds looking like this one maybe.

My sister just said I could put lamp on one side two candles on the other like pillar candles two different sizes and the the books in theiddle and put a small rustic white or cream clock in the middle of the books and above I could hang my flower basket on some brass antique gold hooks ?

I'm glad you like the idea @Sarah2914 it gives me confidence I'm moving in the right direction but someone on a Facebook group I'm on said I'd have an issue with height with a table in that corner which has confused me because I found a table I like now and have a plan and have no idea what she's talking about heights issue?

I wasn't going to have the olive tree on the other side as it keeps catching the door when I open it so I'm going to get this home sweet home sign to replace the doggy rules one as this one is longer and will complement my new table and as it's long I won't need anything at the bottom I will leave that blank and let the sign do all the talking on that corner

@Sarah L what about a corner console table to make use of all the space?

No, a straight one will look better. I can't see there would be a issue with height. I presume it would go on the wall next to the radiator.

@Sarah L if you mean the home sweet home sign on the wall next to the radiator than yesterday I am putting it there instead of that small doggy rules sign I had that was only 25cm long where this is 90cm so will cover more of the wall so I don't need anything in that corner then.

@Sarah L oh the console table was going to go on the right side of the door if you scroll back up to my first image where my current table is but on the other wall facing the radiator instead of the stairs and then the wall next to the radiator where the tree is in that first image I wasn't putting anything just that new home sign on the wall.

Would that look ok or do you think it's too small?

Here's some more photos of the hallway right now I've moved the table again to show you how I was going to do it for the console table I was going to add panniling and the eitherside my photo was going to do wall lamps but not sure.

Where also changing the white doors for rustic medium oak ones.

And I'm really sorry to keep going over this but I'm just really indecisive and also an overthinker thanks to my autism sometimes I just need someone to grab me and say right this is what we're going to do .

I really like a shelf or radiator console however we tried the shelf and we had to walk sideways past it and it was only 17cm deep the hallway where the radiator is , is a lot more narrow than it looks in the photos.

Ok, maybe you don't have space for a console table. Put the plant on the right, and your lamp table on the left. This will give somewhere to pop something down when you open the front door.

@Sarah L Ok just so I know what I've understood are you saying to keep the table I already have on the wall in the picture above on that wall near the internal door on the left side? I did find someone who could do me a custom size console table so it's the same size as my current table but taller and left deep so it doesn't stick out as much which I thought would be more stylish than my grey table I have currently?

Do you think I should still go with my sister plan then of putting a table lamp and some warm beige books there with a diffuser on top and above it coat hooks with my dog leads on and the flower basket I showed above?

And finally do you think I should get that country sign to go on the right side where my current sign is as I really love that home sign I found but worried it will clash with my wood framed art on the wall next to it where the radiator is?

I'm still not going to put anything on the right because we kept catching out clothes on the olive tree it was a little too wide for the space

Edit: I have tried the olive tree there this morning but it doesn't look right especially when I'm walking down the stairs it's not right.

Hello everyone me again

I think I'm getting somewhere my vision or idea of a console table on the right hand side I asked Google Gemini to show me and Geminis opinion was it didn't work a console table is not the right thing for that corner so I asked Gemini what they would do in that corner then and these where the two options and said that a bench would be a better option and they put the coat hanger the whole way around the corner I was only going to do it on the wall where the bench is but they put it on both walls.

I think the pillow looks better feel there's something missing though with only a cushion there but I think this looks nice I told Gemini I needed space for my leashes and a basket to store my dog towels and bits in and that the only thing I knew I really wanted was this flower basket so what do you all think?

I know the bench is showing as a bit big but I can get one custom made to fit that wall.

Need your honest opinion I've done another design for the hallway and I want to say I'm happy with it and not changing it however I've found a horse painting I love and wasn't sure if it'd go with what I've designed do you think I should go for it and replace my dog framed art ( scroll up to that) and go for the horse one or should I stick with my dog one? I'm going to put 2 brass gold lamps either side of the frame whichever I choose.
