Hello Emmeline, Have to say this video is brilliant... (i've been at Zoffany had 4 glasses of Champagne there and looked at lovely things... and feeling rather happy... So watching this video had me roaring and grinning inanely.. It's mostly quite and serene for me... but I do like tranquil and I do like a well spoken dulcet tone rather.... So in no particular order.. it's an array of... Television that sounds like it's playing for the entire area.. Past Wandsworth Common and veering towards Chelsea.. It's the creaking boards that never ever seem to be fixed.. It's the occasional big foot.. and the Henderson's when they arrive! It's the door or a cupboard slamming.. that's not once... but 5 or 6 times in a row.. or more... then silence for 5 minutes and then it starts again.. at least once a day.. (they have moved now so fingers crossed... ) It's the woman in the next roads building that sounds like a foghorn for the northern hemisphere... "Star Marieeeeeh' Sih back daahn! un SHu UP! : ))

Weekly? Oh, how I wish it were only weekly. I'm out there nearly every day culling the three-cornered leek that has reappeared as a thick blanket despite me culling it in the first spring I was here, in my new house, then finding it had reappeared hugely aggressively last year and now, in my third spring, it's even thicker and even more widespread - and is now not only in the flower beds but also in the lawn, thick along the edge, scattered within it. Front and back. It takes about two hours to clear about a square yard - digging under the bulbs; banging off the (very good, I've been told) soil in which there are always several earthworms which I need to hang on to (obviously); then picking out the tiniest bulbs left behind. I don't think I can ever finish it this year - as happened last year - which means the problem will go on for decades. I don't really have the time (I need to work, I need a life beyond digging and clearing). The only solution I can think of is to bring in help but my budget won't allow that. I value having lawn so paving it over isn't an option. I will have less planting space, which will eventually mean less weeding, but it's not something I can do right now - I've too much to do to bring the indoors up to date. I disagree with Jo DP. The previous owners had a keep it wild policy and now I have this big problem with a massively invasive plant. And, yes, I have tried using it in recipes - it really isn't worth the effort of keeping it under control (to have a limited supply). I'm an experienced and adventurous cook and three-cornered leek is an overrated ingredient, even though it's free and in my garden.

Seems though the walnut is the most favourable. To me it has a very warm touch to it and can make a compact bathroom/ensuite quite relaxing. However, the grey vanity unit is my favourite as it has that modern, sleek bright feature that can bring a small suite lighter and seem more spacious.

Legally I don't think you are supposed to do anything to a neighbour's fence/boundary wall etc except erect your own fence to hide it. There is already a shed attached to this wall so I assume there's either a good relationship with the neighbours or they don't know and weren't asked; as Daisy said they poss can't see it. It doesn't hurt to ask out of courtesy, I'd only think there would be a problem if any drilling affected their internal plaster but if it's a garage that might not be an issue. I wouldn't put up with that view from a lovely new window seat feature when it's a quick and potentially dramatic improvement (i say whilst lying in bed with no attempt to tackle my eyesore of a garden!!)
