If you are thinking to tuck a chair under so that’s out of the way, I would perhaps go He length of a chair and just over, to give room to put things on the desk itself. I measured my standard minimal but comfy dining chair and that was 40cm excluding the backrest. So perhaps go 45cm wide? Also think about using a ‘leggy’ chair, just like in the photo so it doesn’t take much visual space.

​I have a 1400 x 800 shower, was going for walk in but bathroom fitter advised against it. We have a sliding door, easy clean, expensive one. I am glad i didn't go for the walk in because honestly 1400 is too small. Why not go for 1600 with a walk in, or 1400 with sliding door. By the way the small gap can he easily sorted by your tilers. They'll make recommendations when they come n to quote. Such a common problem for them to solve. It depends on a lot, like the shape of the room, the access points and dimensions around the room and so on. If you imagine that the ideal depth would be a minimum of 500mm (up to 600mm) for hanging space in open units - depending on what you are hanging or shelving. And you would want around 1m for dressing and access - it should give you a good idea. Here is a plan view which may help you. fingers crossed.
