Open plan is not for everyone. If you want a peaceful, stylish chill-out zone away from the kitchen hustle and bustle then this project will interest you.

The challenge: To close the kitchen off from the lounge room, creating a brand new sitting room with its own identity, in which to relax and entertain. We also hand built from scratch 2 sets of Alcove cupboards/shelving either side of a Faux Chimney breast and installed a new stone fire place. Over the fireplace we hand built a new TV cabinet. All walls, ceiling and all woodwork was re-decorated and the new floor covering was Karndean in Country Oak.
