Built on a sloping site in Oxford some twenty years ago the rear garden of this property runs to the shore of a private lake. The potential for a dramatic facelift was evident and our proposals included a decked first floor balcony with large glazed doors replacing windows to give access and take advantage of outstanding views.

A light and airy study extension was added with four interlinked rooflights. Existing internal spaces were rearranged to create a flowing interior which links living and dining areas with a modern kitchen installation with vaulted ceilings throughout.

Underfloor heating is powered by an air source heat pump, the entire building was insulated above and beyond current standards and externally brick elevations were rendered to complete the stunning transformation.
