The double storey living space presented the particular difficulty of working with ceiling heights over 6.5 metres tall. Outside of the logistical considerations in the making and handling of such large curtains, our fitters used a scaffold to fit the curtains to the electric tracks hidden in the ceiling recess.

Throughout the room there are various ceiling heights as well as views through from one room to the next. To create a uniform look the whole flat was treated with the light weight linen blend voile Lottie in Feather, a pale grey. To work within the constraints of the existing ceiling recesses we chose an inverted pleat heading for it’s tailored look, keeping the fabric of the pleats to the back, discreetly hid by the recess when viewed from the rear.

The Master bedroom builds on the pale greys of the voile and introduces more structure in the blackout curtains. The texture of Cavallo comes from it’s weave of yarns of natural and greys for an invitingly cozy feel when the curtains are drawn, essential when perched high above the city.

The ensuite, here showing views through to the Master bedroom behind, is treated with the utmost simplicity of motorised blinds to provide privacy at the touch of a button.

Throughout the flat has motorised curtains and blinds which are controlled via an app on the client’s Pad.
