The client wanted to make better use of this busy family space by introducing a corner sofa. To do this we needed to re-orientate the room completely to open it out and gain extra room for more seating. This created a better focus for the wood burning stove rather than the TV, included a reading corner and had a better relationship with the study area in the room. The oak frame of the barm set the colour palette which was quiet neutrals with an emphasis on textured layering.
