Multi-purpose room in a London townhouse providing space for a home office, jewellery making and craft activities, relaxation and occasional spare room. It was crucial that the homeowners were able to use the space for different functions at the same time. The space was clearly zoned for different activities. Substantial bespoke storage was built to keep the space uncluttered. Classic midcentury ercol furniture was sourced and refurbished: a studio daybed, which can be used for guests staying overnight; an armchair, coffee table and a table for craft activities. These vintage pieces are complemented by contemporary fabrics and prints from Eleanor Pritchard, Mini Moderns and Mourne Textiles, which take inspiration from classic midcentury design. The walls are painted Breakfast Room Green by Farrow and Ball and enlivened by bright accents of orange and mustard.
