Creating a Canyon Rope Bridge

Stunning Canyon Rope Bridge spanning between a virtually perpendicular bank and tree on one side of a river canyon, to an existing structural wall and platform leading into the clients garden and lawn just by their cottage and breakfast room..

The location is an old 3-storey mill, an out-building within the clients garden and they owned the meadow opposite the garden leading up a sharp gradient to a fence line with mature oak trees.

A before photo showing the canyon, you can see the roof of the old mill just on the left, this is a 3-storey building and so a sense of how deep and sheer the canyon is.

Showing the structural 12mm steel cables that run underneath the Rope Bridge and in this instance, through a structural wall at one end of the bridge. Here they are made-off and backed-up with ferrules and a M20 steel rod behind the brick buttresses.
