Feature Staircase Design - Cheshire Home
The overall project was the conversion of a commercial golf club house to a private residence. This crucial element of the project required the removal of the existing starcase which had a solid oak pillar which made the area very dark. The removal of this supporting pillar was replaced with support steel in the first floor.
The staircase was designed by Renew and manufactured by a local expert joiner as all components were larger than the 'off-the-shelf' spindles and posts.
Each element was hand-crafted and delivered to site, where the joinery team fitted the sweeping straircase.
Decorators were then brought in to paint the staircase in Satin White with Walnut stained handrail.
This staircase provides a key feature to the residence.
