Frognal

An exceptional transformation of a grand £19 million period residence in the heart of Hampstead. Our brief was to completely redesign and refresh the entire ground floor while honouring the architectural integrity of this remarkable historic home.

The client envisioned a sophisticated contemporary eclectic interior — rich in personality, layered detailing, and carefully curated finishes — all designed to sit harmoniously alongside an impressive existing art collection. Every element was meticulously considered to create a seamless dialogue between old and new.

As with many period properties, restoring and enhancing the original character was essential. Beautiful traditional features including ornate covings, cornices, architraves, and intricate architectural detailing were carefully refreshed and preserved, allowing the heritage of the home to remain at the forefront of the design.

The new interiors introduce bespoke craftsmanship throughout, featuring custom-made joinery in striking ebony Macassar wood, high-gloss lacquered finishes, sculptural curved sofas, and refined layered lighting schemes that bring warmth, drama, and atmosphere to each space.

The result is a timeless and highly personalised interior where contemporary eclecticism meets classic elegance — a home that feels both luxurious and deeply connected to its original character.
