Gallant in Graphite

This stunning graphite kitchen in Donaghadee, County Down effortlessly combines beautiful cabinetry with essential storage as well as many clever design features. A mixture of colours and materials have been used to add depth and personality whilst clearly defining the food preparation, eating and living space.

The long room presented a design dilemma, as we did not want the room to feel too much like a galley kitchen. The long Island could have elongated the room further, however the introduction of an oak top on the seating area has punctuated the space, adding depth and interest.

Clever uses of materials add depth and personality to an otherwise neutral scheme. This oak top effortlessly defines the eating area on this island, but also breaks up the expanse of quartz.

A mantle was created to hide two structural pillars, but adds a focal point to the space.

Smooth Graphite doors are a contemporary slant on a traditional door design whilst, decorative pilasters and delicate nickel handles from Perrin & Rowe add a furniture feel to this elegant space.
