This project shakes up conventional bedroom design and screams vibrant personality.

The Brief
The brief for this project was ‘trend’. With there being so many directions ‘trend’ can take, we decided to use the term rather loosely and create something you may see regularly but executed in an unanticipated way.

We wanted to create a space that kept the eye engaged, every which way you look there was something of interest. We did this in a couple of different ways with pops of bright and bold colours throughout, to stripping back the bed and painting it back in on the wall.

The Project
The idea was to allow personal possessions and what you furnish a room with to be the main focus of this space. We inverted the standard white walls and coloured wooden/carpeted floor, to black walls with a large block of white at the base that continues and flows through onto the floor. Removing what would normally be such a focal point of a bedroom, the headboard, and painting it back in on the walls – essentially simplifying the entire space. This creates the perfect canvas for all furnishings, greenery and accessories to speak for themselves and is an excellent way to bring lots of personality into a space.
