House, St Johns Wood

The brief was to create a contemporary space through the architecture and interior design elements. The clients vast collection of art and accessories from around the world needed to be displayed within this space. The final look was one of cohesiveness and eclecticism.

The windows at the back were changed to french doors allowing direct access to the garden below. Cream linen blinds and white walls keep the space feeling airy and bright while enhancing the clients artwork and colourful accessories

The extension is nice and bright as a result of the tall french doors as well as the sky lights above. The open faced brick wall adds a dimension and wow factor to the room

Previously the entrance corridor also contained a cloakroom and boiler room making it feel cramped and dark. By moving these to another position, not only opened up the space considerably but visually added length with views of the garden beyond.

This guest bedroom in the basement still has a lot of natural light on account of the little courtyard beyond.

The boundary wall at the back was made using old bricks, topped with strips of hardwood that will lighten with age. An old garden bench was enlivened by painting it red to match the custom designed garden table
