Paula and Andrew's home was a new build so could work with the architect on where best to locate the kitchen and bathroom and the most efficient use of space. Then once it was planned Paula and Andrew could discuss their ideas on how they wanted their whole home to look. As the family kitchen was open plan it had to fit within their whole decor and be best used for many aspects of their daily life.
