Large Garden in Barnes

An elegant and planterly solution for an unusual 150m² garden with an irregular layout including a long 20 metre passageway leading to the main garden. The passageway from the house is paved in limestone which is interspersed with gravel, planting and arches with climbers and roses.

The main garden is centred around a large elliptical lawn bordered with Buxus globes, a range of shrubs, including Hydrangea arborescens 'Annabelle'; small specimen trees and perennials, including Gaura, Knautia and Salvia. To the side of the lawn and visible from the house is a circular firepit which when lit gives a wonderful warm glow. It is surrounded by an L-shaped limestone-clad bench and reached by an avenue of pleached Hornbeams.

The lighting highlights particular features in the garden and includes a moonlight effect onto the lawn.
