Lighting design for bedrooms
Bedroom Task & Accent Lighting
Your main ambient lighting in the bedroom should be designed to relax. Consider dimmable lighting, using warm white colour to create a restful environment. A great way of creating accent lighting is through the use of LED tape. Used on its own as a low light, the use of coloured LED can dramatically change the mood and feel of a room. Task lighting, especially for reading should be bright, adjustable and within easy reach.
Bedroom Wardrobe Lighting
There are plenty of ways to bring lighting to your wardrobe units, from clever task lighting, hanging rails and strip lighting controlled by sensors, through to subtle accent lighting above the wardrobe and along its plinth. Where colour is critical choose neutral colours; in other areas choose a colour that suits the room's aesthetic.
