Awnings provide superb UV protection for any garden or patio area.

For this project, our client had a particularly large south-facing outdoor patio area that was completely exposed to the sun for long periods of the day. This was creating a very uncomfortable environment to live in, preventing them from fully enjoying their garden and causing sun damage to parts of their living room.

We recommended a Markilux awning as the perfect solution with a possible addition of the shade plus option. We suggested Markilux as they are considered to be industry leaders, using the latest in engineering technology to produce the best models on the market today. The selected model was the Markilux 990 awning.

The 990 is a discreet model that provides technological sophistication to any home. The 990's compact construction and unique U-shaped front profile allows the folding arms and awning cover to disappear when not in use. When fully closed the cassette measures at 125mm flat. It also has robust bionic tendons which ensure the smooth operation of the awning.

The 990 awning model featured is powered. This means the awning can be remote controlled by a 5 channel motor whether inside or out for maximum convenience.

There is also a shade plus option added to the 990. This is an extra awning cover that descends vertically to provide complete sun protection and privacy.

Overall a very pleased client who can now comfortably spend hours relaxing in their own private shade.
