Project Hive - SA Design and Build
Serviced Accommodation Design and Build Project Ludlow.
This project was a turnkey service for clients living abroad but investing in the UK. They needed a designer and project manager to bring this property to life for Leisure Guests.
The project included project management, liaising with estate agents and changeover company, property maintenance, kitchen re-design, decorating and minor electrical work (plugs and lighting), along with joinery and carpentry, soft furnishings, artworks, furniture and accessories.
The theme was designed to consider the local area and attractions, and the client wanted a space that was unlike any other in the same market. Ludlow, being known for farmers markets, distilleries and countryside - had one thing in common to connect all these together - Bees and Hives. Hexagons feature all throughout the property from wallpaper detail to artwork, panelling and headboards.
In the living area we created a hidden cupboard under the stairs, bespoke hexagonal wall panelling, installed a new electric fireplace and decorated throughout
In the kitchen, we reworked the space to extend the worktop to allow for more food preparation, coffee machine and microwave, a breakfast bar area and space for a small dishwasher.
Master Bedroom was small (but I love working with small and tricky spaces), so the door was removed and replaced with a pocket door to allow for a king size bed, a bespoke headboard was designed and made to fit the back wall over the bed and we utilised wall hanging rails for clothes storage.
In the second bedroom, we created a flexible space for guests to enjoy a host of uses from spare guest room, workspace and reading/quiet area.
The garden patio area, transformed from a small patio into a cosy and comfortable outdoor retreat with comfortable seating, artificial vertical garden and pontoon lighting across the yard.
Achieving 5 Star Reviews on Airbnb with any overall guest rating of 4.91
"The Hive is a quaint small house beautifully and imaginatively decorated.
Spotlessly clean and within walking distance of the town centre, although on a slight incline.
We had a very comfortable 3 nights stay and parking was never a problem.
The WiFi was also good.
Loved the little upstairs nook and spent some time in there reading with the sun shining, bliss ?"
