Refurbishing Victorian tiles
Imagine taking up an old hall carpet and discovering a beautiful Victorian tiled floor underneath! This scenario happened recently to one of our customers. They contacted the Casdron Lithofin technical helpline to ask for expert advice on how to clean it up to its original state.
To achieve this finish, Lithofin KF Cement Residue Remover was initially used to remove any cement and mortar residues and hardened dirt layers.
Lithofin WEXA, a multi purpose cleaner, was applied, to dissolve and completely remove grease and oil deposits, any care product residues, wax films and other dirt.
The tiles were then sealed using Lithofin KF Stain-Stop, a special product for ceramic and quarry tiles. Lithofin KF Stain-Stop penetrates into the surface of the tile to coat the capillaries with an extremely thin invisible film. Oil, grease and water are not absorbed by the surface, and dirt can easily be removed without leaving stains.
