Shaker Style Kitchen For Former School House
The owner this beautiful former Victorian school house in Godalming Surrey knew they wanted a shaker style kitchen but with a little more detail and we were pleased to help. The beautiful property benefited from many period features, including high ceilings, and the spacious kitchen come dining and living room could easily accommodate a large kitchen with centre island. To add the detail that the customer desired we made cock-beaded seamless frames to surround the shaker style doors and edge the units. A feature was made of the fire place, housing the large range cooker, with the edition of a handmade castellated mantle shelf. While the kitchen may look period perfect it has all the latest conveniences including a built-in microwave and freezer draws in one side of the island, to which we also installed flush sockets with a brushed finish. The kitchen units were finished in Farrow & Ball Stony Ground while the contrasting centre island was painted in Down Pipe, also by Farrow & Ball. The kitchen and island were finished off with a beautiful white 30mm SG Carrara composite work-surface.
