Slate blue kitchen with white quartz worktop
The existing kitchen was not working for a growing family; the old-fashioned cabinetry layout was restrictive and impractical. We redesigned the new kitchen to create a breakfast bar at the kitchen end and a dining area by the new garden folding doors. We suggested incorporating the latest in cooking/extraction technology with a BORA induction hob as well as new ovens and microwave. The downwards re-circulating BORA extraction system means that open shelves can be placed above the hob. An interior ‘window’ was created so that the children could be watched when they were in the living room and the peninsular bar gives them a place to be in the kitchen. On the flank wall of the extension a large double cupboard was installed next to a display dresser unit with a mirror back splash.
