Spare bedroom
This spare guest bedroom is part of Lyncombe House, originally built in 1868 by Charles Barry Jr. The north-facing room previously featured green wallpaper and paint, along with an en-suite bathroom. As the house already has two bathrooms, the en-suite was removed to improve the functionality of the space. A new bespoke floor-to-ceiling wardrobe was introduced, and the original Victorian coving was carefully retained to ensure continuity with the rest of the house. Plants and a blush pink sofa bed were added to brighten the room and create a softer, more cheerful atmosphere. The space now functions as a home office, while easily transforming into a comfortable guest bedroom when needed.
