This project is the refurbishment of an open plan kitchen and dining space to create a sociable space for the family, where glamour, vintage and shaker blend. The brief was to create glamorous dining area with presence and character, and a light contemporary kitchen. We revised the existing layout of the kitchen by relocating the main functions of cooking and washing in order that is more sociable by facing the dining space. The kitchen design is light and linear with full height cupboards in bitter chocolate wood veneer contrasting with the pale grey under counter cupboards. Aged brass knurled bar handles give a slight industrial edge to the elegant grey drawer units. The two spaces are tied together with the continuation of the pale wood floor, and art deco pale green colour on the walls and ceiling.
