Waukesha - Early 1900's Home - Bathroom remodel
Designed by: Brittany Gormanson. This Waukesha home was built in the early 1900's and we wanted to stay true to the style of that time period. The original floor plan was smaller and had a tub/shower combination. We were able to design in a separate walk-in shower and clawfoot tub, while still keeping an open layout. The white subway tile continued as a wainscot around the room and included details of a light green pencil liner, decorative chair rail and white pencil liner at the bottom to create a base profile. Slabs of Bianca Cararra marble were used on the wall behind the tub and the half-wall at the shower. The glass shower surround helped keep the room feel open, when entering. We were even able to add built-in cubby storage on the wall right of the pedestal. Brazilian Cherry wood floors create a beautiful contrast to the light walls and fixtures.
