Location: Linlithgow, Scotland Category: Bespoke New Staircase Installation This fully bespoke staircase was expertly designed and installed by Abbott-Wade, blending cutting-edge CNC technology with time-honoured carpentry craftsmanship. The result is a standout centrepiece, tailored to elevate a contemporary three-storey home. In Summary: A striking modern staircase that combines clean lines, frameless glass, and natural oak box treads to flood the entire stairwell with light. The open design maximises space and brings a fresh, spacious feel to this multi-level home. Style: Designed to complement a contemporary interior, this staircase enhances the sense of openness throughout the hallway and stairwell. The choice of light-enhancing materials adds brightness while staying in harmony with the home’s modern architecture. Timber Choice: Chunky engineered oak box treads—pre-finished in our workshop—deliver both aesthetic appeal and long-lasting performance. These are perfectly offset by brilliant white painted stringers, creating a clean contrast that adds visual interest and elevates the design. All timber components are meticulously prepared and finished in-house by our expert spray team to a high furniture-grade standard, ensuring a flawless and durable result. Balustrade: 15mm toughened frameless glass panels eliminate the need for newel posts, allowing for uninterrupted views and a sleek, minimalist finish. This design choice maximises natural light and contributes to a sense of openness across all three levels of the home. Treads: Engineered oak treads offer an ideal blend of strength and style. Their robust construction ensures durability, while the natural grain and finish bring warmth and character to the staircase.

JLDécorr by Jeanne Pezeril
