A master suite fit for a king size bed and layered with light. During the remodel we had a new window installed to show off their view to the lake. We also had a soffit built so that we could hang pendant lighting over their night-stands, giving them ample surface that would have been taken up by lamps. Each light is switched by a light-switch behind the night stand for late night reading. Wallcovering on the bed wall creates interest and draws your eye to the wonderful tufted headboard. In the bedroom we created the feel of the ocean, with just the right blue; white and natural linen bedding, and natural wood furnishing. The drapes were custom made with blackout lining to wrap around the room to cover up the blinds in this room. Remember we couldn’t remove them, but they were not dark enough. To keep the beachy look a very natural looking fabric with a simmer was selected but you can’t see in the photo.

In this spacious master bedroom and using our clients' existing beds and benches, we selected a fine wool carpet that incorporates the various blues, as well as the additional peach and rose tones that bring warmth to the room. Since the clients did not intend this to be a working fireplace, all that was needed was a silk wildflower bouquet picking up the sandy and peach tones from the surrounding marble. John-Richard was our choice for the six-light crystal/gold-leaf chandelier. The hand-painted ceramic peacocks and floral needlepoint pillows further connected the room to the carpet.
