Having met Smarthaus at the Birmingham Grand Designs Exhibition this couple were looking for a cost effective kitchen and ideas and suggestions on how to design their open plan kitchen area. Atlanta Terra was chosen for the project with White Storm Quartz worksurfaces to create a main kitchen area to compliment the adjacent Spice Kitchen.

This is the large Normann 3 Copenhagen pendant light shade - it was a nice way to bring in texture to the room without the light dominating the space. The mural in the background is the showstopper for the room but the light needed to have personality without stealing the show! An 8 zone music system was installed to allow easy access and sharing of the audio across the home and garden. This was achieved by installing a streaming music server and zone multiroom amplifiers. The audio from the TVs were also routed to the speakers installed in each zone. Each music zone has its own independent source choice and volume control. Rock speakers were discretely installed in the gardens and courtyards to provide music for entertainment and relaxation.

Plenty space has been left between the units and island to allow two people to be in the space if necessary and for oven doors/drawers to be pulled out and look at. Pan drawers are to the left of the Aga as well as two units in the island.
