Located in a tight urban pocket, the constraints of this 2150 square foot triangular-shaped site would have deterred many. However, the property owners and architects of Molecule Studio saw the compact site and its restrictions as an opportunity to create a contemporary family home that strongly referenced its environment. This new build is situated in a leafy suburb of Leicestershire and features an open plan, spacious kitchen, dining and snug opening out onto landscaped gardens. The brief, to create a contemporary main kitchen with island and drop down table is designed with Silver Grey and Polar White doors both in gloss finish. They marry perfectly with Silestone Yukon Quartz for the stunning Island coupled with 30mm White Macubus Quartzite to create the drop down seating area. The Spice Kitchen is designed with Cream doors and Cosmic Gold Granite surfaces. To the rear is the utility in the same specification. The area is completed with stunning Porcelain flooring throughout.

The silver decorative curtain rod together with decorative finials at each end, works perfectly with the triple pinch pleated curtain heading. A heading that shows off the fabric used for this treatment to good effect. It also works very well with the puddling of the drapery on the floor. To me this treatment speaks of a subtly spoken opulence, without being ‘showy’ or ‘overstated.’ Kit Haselden Photography

Silvertone Photography This was a new build home, with Dorrington Homes as the builder and Retreat Design providing the kitchen and wet areas design and cabinetry. As an established importer of bespoke cabinetry, we have worked with many Perth builders over the years and are committed to working with both the client and the builder to make sure everyone’s needs at met, including notoriously tight construction schedules. The kitchen features dark tones of Paperstone on the benchtop and cabinetry door fronts, with copper highlights. The result is a warm and inviting space that is completely unique. The ensuite is a design feet with a feature wall clad with poured concrete to set the scene for a space that is unlike any others we have created over the years. Couple that with a solid surface bath, on trend black tapware and Paperstone cabinetry and the result is an exquisite ensuite for the owners to enjoy.

The swimming pool area at Making Place House features bespoke eaves windows and structural glazing, designed to draw natural light into the space while maintaining a clean architectural finish. The glazing creates a bright, open pool environment with a strong connection to the surrounding countryside.

A distinctive upholstered chair with curved sides and tapered back. Its modern take on the traditional wing back chair with a dynamic thrust to its lines, brings the majestic elegance of a sixties matador to your living room.

This project was a brand-new detached house in Gloucestershire, clad in Cotswold stone so as to seamlessly blend into the area. It was to be the home of a couple in their early 30s, who wanted the design to reflect their eclectic and glamorous modern lifestyle but it also needed to achieve order, balance and cohesion across all three floors.
