We couldn’t be happier with the work carried out by Sebastian. The design was outstanding—thoughtfully planned, beautifully executed, and full of features and details that make a difference. One of the things we appreciated most was the confidence and insight to insist on certain elements that we initially struggled to visualise; in the end, those decisions became some of our favourite aspects of the project. Sebastian handled everything, from design through planning applications and oversight of building work, with complete professionalism and was also sensitive to our budget requirements. The final result has a real wow factor and exceeded our expectations. Sebastian was an absolute delight—friendly, patient, and thoroughly dedicated throughout. We would highly recommend this team.

Seb designed our utterly stunning shed/garden office (I've heard the term 'shoffice' used!), which you can see on the Martins Camisuli website. We have a very awkward 'space' so a prefab, rectangular structure wouldn't have cut it. We spoke with a few different shed designers and architects, and Seb's vision captured our imaginations more than any other. I can honestly say that the end product far exceeds what I could've imagined, and it perfectly frames our property. It really is a pleasure to work from our shoffice, and it's always a talking point, whether in Zoom meetings or garden parties. Cost-wise, Seb built up a detailed schedule for tender, so everything was transparent. There were some overruns, largely due to the energy crisis / war in Ukraine / global supply chain issues, but on the whole they weren't excessive. Was it more expensive than a prefab? Yes, but surprisingly less than you'd expect. So, so worth it!

We absolutely love the home that Sebastian designed for us. It was a complete re-imagination of the ground floor and basement of a Victorian brick terrace, creating more space, more light and a second bedroom and bathroom. Sebastian saw it through from start to finish, hands-on and available throughout in a collaborative way, including recommending good builders. Highly recommended.

Sebastian and his team at Martin Camisuli worked on the refurbishment and redesign of our two bedroom, London flat. It was Sebastian, with his enthusiasm and confidence, who persuaded us to take the plunge and completely turn the flat around, so our kitchen and living area would lead straight out into our small garden and at the same time keep within our limited budget. We liked the fact that he was experienced in refurbishment of flats, that he lived and worked locally and ran his own family company together with his wife Ana. He was able to recommend a suitable builder, he had worked with before. This meant that any problems were easily sorted and there was a good interaction between us all. Throughout the project, Sebastian has been flexible, friendly and always positive, regardless of what seemed at times like insurmountable problems. Ana, his partner was invaluable in advising on the interior design and great space saving ideas for storage. We are thrilled with the results. Our cramped, dark flat has been transformed into a spacious, light and airy home. Large glass doors bring the garden right inside. It’s everything we could ever have dreamed of. We highly recommend Sebastian and Ana for any refurbishment project, big or small.

Seb and Ana did a fantastic job with out whole house renovation project. Martins Camisuli do really nice work. They pay attention to their clients, and make nice clean modern spaces that can be lived in as well as looked at. There is a warmth to their work that is sometimes lacking in modern interiors. I highly recommend them even though they are the competition!

Complete redesign of a smallish Victorian cottage. We hired MC after seeing their work on similar properties. We really loved their play with light and the way they used large glass doors to bring the outdoor in. Sebastian, Ana and team were a real joy to work with. The firm also found the building company, another great recommendation! All in all we are extremely pleased with the design and loved the three way communication, helping us achieve exactly what we wanted as clients without any hiccups on the way.

Sebastian and Ana worked on the full renovation of our Victorian semi-detached property in Islington. From the initial consultation at the house, we were really impressed with Sebastian's suggestions, hence decided to move forward with Martins Camisuli. We have been delighted with the service provided by Martins Camisuli. Our project was a bathroom redesign and we did wonder if a smaller project would command a good service from busy architects. In practice we have received an excellent service in terms of design and project management. We worked most closely with team member Maria although both Ana and Sebastian both made important contributions. Maria was great to work with. The practice provided a great design which Maria finessed as the work progressed. She worked hard to identify great fittings and was an excellent project manager. Martins Camisuli linked us up with a builder who turned out to be very professional with a great work ethic. All in all an excellent service and we would highly recommend Martins Camisuli.

It has been nearly 3 months now since we moved back into our newly renovated and extended basement flat in north London & we still feel blessed to have had the whole project designed & overseen by Sebastian & Ana. We couldn't be happier with the end result, the flat seems to have doubled in size, despite us only having a 10 foot extension. The light that now pours into our main living area is something we would have never thought possible. The builder, Robert, who they recommended, having worked with him on various other projects, was by far the best man for the job, his team worked to a very high standard, and the finish, which is everything, is perfection. Without Sebastian we would never have been able to have chosen such a brilliant builder. Any problems that arose were dealt with swiftly & with minimum fuss, and we were back in our fantastic, unrecognisable new home within the estimated 6 months. Ana helped me to chose the colour scheme, and although only very subtle, it has made all the difference. Everyone who comes round to see the flat is completely bowled over. It is a total transformation. The usable space we now have is far greater than the actual physical extension. We cannot recommend Sebastian and Ana enough, and I would encourage anyone who is planning on a renovation project to use them. If we ever need to move again after this, I will be picking a property that requires work doing just to use them, and the builders again. Kate

I very much enjoyed working with Seb and Ana from Martins Camisuli. I had the pleasure to photograph a project they had completed and found them extremely friendly and fun to work with. Their creative input was invaluable and their enthusiasm for their craft is obvious. I wouldn't hesitate to work with them again and recommend them to anyone looking for a architect.

Working with these architects was a joy from start to finish. We completely ripped out the back of our house and they came up with several alternative plans to fit various budgets. They had a fantastic relationship with the builders who they had worked with on a number of other projects, so right from the start communication between them and us was fantastic. Any changes that occurred whether instigated by circumstance or by us changing our minds was dealt with effortlessly. Nothing seemed to phase them. They were completely unflappable and any problems were seen more as a challenge and they always came up with interesting solutions. Also the quality of the work was meticulous. Our build was completed in the time estimated prior to the job starting, which was six months, and completed on budget and within the 10% overspill margin that was suggested at the beginning of the job.

Never regretted that we choose Ana and Seb for our project. We have recommended them widely amongst our friends who - we believe - feel the same. What stood out at the design stage was Ana's deep appreciation of what would work for a young family. Whereas Seb's combination of pragmatism and no-nonense approach to project management meant we finished both on-time and on-budget. Just need to find the money to do more with them...

Great design, very detailed, thoughtful and thorough work, and Ana and Sebastian are great people to work with. I liked that they challenged some of our thinking, and gave us good advice. End result was beautiful. We are planning on using the team again - which is the best review a designer can get! Only slight negative was a delay to the (quite ambitious) timetable.

We live in a sweet two bedroom London terrace which, with the addition of three children, we had outgrown. Loving the neighbourhood and the street we were reluctant to move, so contacted Martins Camisuli. With a modest budget and planning restrictions they created a design that added another bedroom and increased the general living space. Whilst increasing the physical space, it was the inspired addition of roof lights throughout, the removal of unused small attic spaces, the clever design of children's platform beds and the reconfiguration of existing space that have made the most dramatic difference. We now have a home flooded with natural light creating a sense a space far greater than the actual physical additions, it is modern with no compromise on character, airy and light whilst retaining the comforting contours of a home.

Amazing, beautiful design brilliantly executed. Ana and Sebastian helped us achieve the vision we had and helped us improve it dramatically along the way. All while keeping a careful eye on costs. I would recommend them again in a heartbeat!

Martins Camisuli designed and project managed a new kitchen project in my home. I wanted something individual and crafted. It involved complete remodelling of the space, removal of walls and the design and manufacture of bespoke kitchen units. They were responsive to my ideas, creative and enthusiastic. I found it very easy to communicate with them and the works were completed on time and on budget. I think the choice of materials and overall design are warm simple and enduring.
