We have lived in our house for a long time and love the location. Having updated our kitchen we realised that we wanted to change the rest of the house to marry up with its more contemporary style. We decided to renovate but couldn’t agree on what changes to make or where to start. We needed somebody to come up with a solution that we both loved. We discovered Renaissance Interiors on the Houzz website and were attracted by their work. We made contact with Karen, liked what she had to say and took the next step. We talked at some length about the project. Renaissance Interiors created a range of designs for each room. What helped us enormously were the computer-generated images of the favoured designs. This made it so much easier to visualise the look of each room. As Renaissance Interiors had links to a team of tried-and-trusted trades and suppliers we were very happy for Karen to manage the project to take the weight off our shoulders. She worked tirelessly on getting every aspect right; sourcing materials and furnishings and ensuring that the project ran smoothly. Even when we came up against unexpected issues, she worked on our behalf to find a prompt resolution. We now have underfloor heating to the whole ground floor, two brand new bathrooms, a refurbished oak staircase with pull-out storage and oak doors throughout the house. The lounge fireplace was replaced and the new chimney breast houses the fire and TV, creating more space. The whole house has been redecorated including new carpets and flooring, all new furniture, made-to-measure curtains and blinds, resulting in a what feels like a ‘new’ home and we love it! Would we recommend Renaissance Interiors, Hartley Wintney? – absolutely! Their customer service, patience and determination to get it right is second to none.

We invited Karen to our new build home to help transform neutral rooms into something more homely. Karen has been an inspiration to me having downsized properties in 2021. My late 1950s bungalow was tired and needed updating which involved a major revamp of an unattractive wet room. I was seeking a quadrant shower which necessitated the construction of a narrow floor to ceiling wall to allow for this to be fitted. Karen's ideas of repositioning the wash hand basin and using a folding door enabling there to be more space in the bathroom was great. Her vision for the choice of wall and floor tiles and blind were brilliant. Karen knows many tradespeople and the task was well executed by those involved. Thank you from a delighted customer!

Karen worked on the reconfiguration and extension of the entire ground floor of my detached home. She did a splendid job on the interior design and helped enormously with its smooth execution. Karen is a sensible investment, in what was for her a modest budget. Karen is committed and hard working. She has a natural sense of style and is not afraid to argue her case. Just want to put on record what a fabulous job Karen Chapman of Renaissance Interiors has done with the supply and fit of a beautiful curtain and curtain rail in one of our spare bedrooms. This was a particularly difficult job there being no lintel above the window to fix a curtain rail as the window is a dormer where the ceiling directly meets the top of the window. Furthermore, the ceiling was particularly crooked so attaching a pole to make the whole thing level certainly wasn’t an easy task to be undertaken by an amateur in these matters like myself. Karen and her fitter rose to the challenge and have done a really splendid job and we highly recommend her business for all your curtaining and furnishings. She will make your home look really great (and level!).

We enlisted Karen @ Renaissance Interiors to help us with the interior design of our home that was being fully refurbished. Karen helped us with the design elements of the Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen and Media Room. Once, we filled in the initial questionnaire that inquired about of tastes, preferences and budget, Karen then came us with an initial 3D model and Mood Boards that incorporated our wishes. The initial draft hit the target and we only had to make small adjustments to it as we went along. This design then served as vision of the finished house. This was vital, while we were going to the build with the builders, as there were numerous trade off to be made and having a clear vision of what the final house would look like help steer the decisions. Karen was also invaluable in helping us chose the layout, colours, fabrics, furniture, soft furnishings of each room to make it a warm, well thought of and executed room - without this the rooms would not have come together harmoniously. Although we exceeded the original budget allocated towards interior design, in the end we feel comfortable with the choices made and compromises accommodated. We now finishing off the remaining bits of the interior design as budget and time permits and hope to conclude later this year.

Karen’s professionalism is outstanding: she clearly has yeaaaaaars of experience behind her and her patience with me was incredible, especially as I was faced with the “impossible equation” of what I needed for my bedroom (= blackout blinds and curtains to completely block out the morning light) and what I actually “like the look of” (I tend to gravitate more towards a rustic/chic look, as opposed to “heavy formal curtains”) and she managed to come up with technical and design suggestions that somehow combined the two, she helped with everything, the choice of fabric, curtain pole, trims, even the carpet on the floor, and from a “manufacturing/fitting” point of view I knew I was in safe hands and indeed I was : my bedroom now looks fantastic and it ticks all my boxes! Thank you!!

We contacted Remaissance Interiors to help reburbish our sitting room. Karen arrived and was very enthusiastic and full of ideas, many of which had simply not occurred to us, and we were very pleased with all her suggestions. Very professional - we were looking for someone to guide us in creating a welcoming and comfortable living room based on some existing furniture. We first started working with Karen while our house was being built. Having chosen to build a large log house we needed ideas of how to style the interior. She has a great talent for listening to what you would like, solving the problems and then coming up with fabulous designs. Karen was extremely helpful in advising us with necessary alterations to Roman blinds. Once we understood what was needed, she recommended an excellent upholsterer who did a great job altering the blinds to fit the window. Karen then helped us to find material to cover two wing chairs. These were then expertly recovered by the upholsterer. Karen was professional in all her dealings with us and I would have no difficulty in recommending her to friends.

Karen listened carefully to my requirements, was sensitive to my budget and gave valuable advice on my choices and options. Although I personally feel very lacking in 'style' she made the experience of choosing and fitting my curtains and selecting a chair and it's covers, very comfortable and enjoyable. The end result is very sympathetic to the overall feel of the room.
