Kitchen blind/curtain inspiration

Hi, we've just finished our kitchen, which is black and white with duck egg blue tiles, and can't decide what to do about curtains/blinds for both the kitchen windows and patio doors. What colour/style do you think would work best? Probably won't be used very much, mainly for show, although we might want to close patio curtain/blind for warmth in winter. Any help appreciated!!

I would suggest that you have a luscious tracked pole like those from Walcot House and have a curtain that stacks on the right side of the window only. The tracked pole will give you a pole look but with the single draw option of a track, so that the curtain and pole can be supported all the way along the wall. The Walcot House pleating studs also give a fantastic modern finish to the curtain heading.

I would then suggest a cascade roman blind set at the same height as the pole. By having a cascade rather than a standard pleat blind is the pleats are the feature.

This picture shows the pleating studs. We have used them with rings on the clients existing pole but the heading can also be achieved with a tracked pole.

Yes I agree curtains are a must! There is room to pull them back properly. We are lucky that our house is quite light anyway so hopefully shouldn't darken room. The pic of couch attached was taken when we first moved in. It is actually pulled out from window as their is a radiator behind there. But the picture doesn't make it look like this! Our wing chair is at the opposite end to the window and couch too, in a corner. We haven't been in this house long but I'm desperate to start finishing rooms off! The only thing on our wall is a rectangular mirror same range as furniture this is above our two seater couch. We will be adding a rug too... But the lack of curtains have been annoying me so wanted to choose them and then get a rug to tie in! We will be adding simple rustic shelving on the wall next to wing chair too (this wall is a shorter wall as it houses the door leading onto kitchen. X

We moved into a house with bifold doors and I didn't want to spend an absolute fortune on large bespoke curtains for them. So I found some beautiful ones on the high street that were the correct height, then bought two pairs. I found an extra long curtain rail online and whilst I was going to originally sew the pairs together to make two large curtains - one either side of the door, I actually left them separate. This way I can pull three of the four closed but leave one pulled back on the opening side door, making access easier. Hope that makes sense!

Hi there, what a lovely kitchen ! I would suggest a roman blind for the smaller window, with either eyelet curtains or wave curtains for the patio doors, you could have them so that they stack to the right hand side, given that this is an access point to the garden. Colourways wow there are loads out there and you can have them treated to repel kitchen splashes etc. warwick can offer this at no additional cost; I think if you are going for a plain then consider a leading edge border for the curtain and a border at the bottom of the blind or the sides ; options are limitless!!
